Hi

I've looked on here and Google and can't seem to find the answer, is there anybody North West who can supply and fit the Quaife LSD to a C63?

I think I can't find the answer because they can only be fitted at Birds, which is a 500 mile round trip and while I'd love to do that in the C63 I just don't have time soon.

Cheers

How far is that from MSL Birmingham?

Tony.

110 miles so getting better!

I assume it's quite a long job to do though too which is why I wanted to get as local as possible so I can leave the car. It's not just getting there it's then waiting around for hours while it's done.

Do you specifically want a Quaife? I've got a genuine Merc C63 LSD if you're interested?

Any competent mechanic should be able to change a diff. Talk to a trusted Mercedes indie in your locale.

Make an event out of it LSD nice lunch/dinner night in a hotel cracking drive home?

Tony.

Take it to MSl....They have fitted loads.
You can probably get a cracking deal on a Re-map while you are there.

I have drove down from Newcastle to have MSL do work. Acid has took me out for lunch etc and the waiting area is not exactly your normal area (TV's pool tables and leather sofa's to chill out on.
There is normally a load of petrol heads down there getting work done so you certainly will not get bored "hanging around"

But Lee Acid might have got you lunch because you have paid for half of his house?:D
might not be the same for just a diff!:thumb:

Stop putting ideas in my head!!!!

Now I'm thinking diff and a remap, just need a price :-)

I'm sure acid will be along shortly lee forgot to mention the chicken as well mate that's worth a 500 mile trip on its own get a remap LSD and secondary cat delete make a day of it

Definitely MSL I've driven 600 mile round trip from Glasgow to get work done.

Acid's the man for the job

When your there and you keep hearing people whisper "Weistec" as you walk past.....its some Voodoo stuff that he does....don't worry nothing happens......

Another one for MSL. My diff was fitted there not long after I'd bought the car.

A good job, well done and treated to copious amounts of tea and coffee, also taken out for lunch to a nice restaurant. Nowadays I just tend to hang around and grab the chicken when it arrives.

I'm also in the North West and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. It's a 200+ mile round trip for me, so that's worth it on it's own just for the fun drive back after messing with things on it :D

I paid around £2500 for gutted secondary cats, Quaife supply and fit and a Eurocharged remap.

Mine was done in Aberdeen, overseen by Paul from Eurocharged, but where you are Acid is most certainly the man for the job, he's highly recommended.

Give Acid at MSL a call, it'll be worth your while and he is renowened for his hospitality! :bannana:

Was it money well spent?

I have a habit of only keeping cars for about a year and I don't want to throw thousands at it and then get rid in 12 months, however if it transforms the car it might make me keep it a while longer!!

I had a quaife diff fitted in my old car and it totally transformed it. I can't speak for the mapping, but the diff you will not regret.

It like this; you a buy a massive new hd telly. It's awesome, amazing picture, does all the tricks. You watch films on it and think it's the bees knees. THEN you get a 5.1 surround sound home cinema set up to go with your telly. You realise you were only experiencing half the excitement of your favourite films. That is how the diff is...

Best Mod I have had done on the CL
