Hi

I have bought the Quickparc basic kit (B678 234 01)and am waiting for the W202 fitting kit (B6 782 3402). Has anyone actually retrofitted this toa W202 at home?

If so, was it difficult and where did you mount the speaker LED indicator?

Chers

Joe

I have bought a proper merceds quickparc basic kit on ebay because I had doubts about the quality of the cheap ebay kits. It would drive me nuts it I fitted it to my car and it didn't work well.

I paid £70 including postage. It seems a lot but it is new and boxed and will cost £249 from mercedes....

The quality of the system is very impressive, I just need to fit it now!

I have finally got round to trying to fit the quickparc kit to my car today.

I have got as far as fitting the beeper/led unit in the car and have the bumper off and the sensors painted. I have marked the correct places to drill on the bumper but behind the two outer sensors their is a big block of black foam.

I have 2 quaetions,

1, should i seperate the outer and inner parts of the bumper before drilling?
2, Is it ok to remove a section from each piece of black foam.

Thanks all.

Joe

Hi all.

I did have to seperate the bumper skin from the inner part. Once seperated the black foam already had the holes cut.

I am now stuck on the wiring, the instructions I have are for a W211 not a W202 so I really need some help!

I have the following wires.

Red (live?)
Brown (earth?)
Black - with female blade connector
Black/white - with male blade connector, marked 2
Purple/white - 2 wires, marked 4
Pink - with a holder for a resistor, marked 2
grey - loop of wire, marked 3

I also got 2 resistors with the W202 fitting kit ( 680 & 1500 ohm)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Joe
