Indeed. A good point.

And since this event, I now have a forward / rear facing video system in the car as well. Video now is such a powerful form of evidence and with the crazy roads we have today (and idiots in pushchairs that key cars!!) that even with fixed cameras I am not taking any chances (as they don't record video).

I meant to say is that a photo (stills) camera might have captured the car and the speed it was travelling, but you need the video footage to show the full picture.

Not debatable at all...if no one was there nobody would have heard it. Which is different to the more normal question...would it have made a sound if there was no one there?

I sort of agree but it's no different to the page and pages of posts on joining a dual carriage way, cyclists smashing windows, phoning while driving, AMG drivers revving their cars up etc. etc.
