Flat battery/boot locked e 211

Bought the car with no manual key ,unable to get into boot to jump start,any one know if i can jump start,or hook up leads under bonnet,any advice appreciated.

Be careful on jump starting - search the forum as there have been a number of threads on jump starting vs trickle charging. Apparently jump starting can damage certain electrical / electronic components which would make your current difficulties pale into insignificance.

Thanks for the replies,been searching on here and it seems u can hook up a charger under the bonnet to at least get the remote working and open the boot,just cant seem to get a precise location on where the the + and - are under the bonnet

Might be a stupid question but you are sure you don't have the manual key -i.e. the silver insert to your remote control. I'm sure you don't if you say you don't - just wanted to check ..................

im an idiot,lol it pulls out of the remote.....duh,got boot open,booster wont turn it over sufficiently to start,lettin it charge a bit and will try again,thanks for the pointer smillion!!

If it makes you feel better, I've seen at least 10 owners at the forum who had not realised the metal key. The other one was not a long time ago (I did not check if it was you last time too, in that case this disease, how was it called, alz-something, has hit you). In any case, blame mr. shr who already got the coat).
