How long are they - can you send a picture,.

I have a full set of extra long bolts- as used on the CLK if 18" AMG flat face wheels fitted.
These were intended for rear wheels if 10mm spacers were used ( i think on the CLK convertable only for some reason)

I have loads of different sized wheel bolts. All doing absolutly nothing. Could you post the size and I will see If I have any similar.

I have plenty of these...Same as fitted to a facelift 126 or 107...

tee hee - they are the bolts that Mercedes no longer recommend you to use.

as they have got older and have been abused by people with air wrenches etc many of them have snapped halfway down the shaft making removal an absolute pain.

I was told in no uncertain terms not to use them by my dealer when I asked him for some replacements.

so whats the replacements?? I have these on my 107...

the replacements are short ones without the centre shaft - sadly they don't fit flush with the flat face wheels.

I couldn't even find an aftermarket supplier selling the extended bolts either with my local wheel specialist telling me the same thing and that the only two people who manufactured them had stopped.

Andy

MB do still produce them, i get them in all the time, still sell loads, and have only ever seen one snap half way down the shaft...

What you must be referring to as the replacements are what is on most W124's, 202's, 210's etc...

Dear V12
Thanks for info. How do I get one, do I order it through you ?
If anyone wants a FREE ET44 flatface wheel rim painted and ready to use, I have one. I now have 4 ET25's but just need one long bolt to complete.
Regards Colin
