Fleet orders cancelled

As a valued customer of ours we thought that you may find this of interest, so I have taken the liberty of including details of the vehicles available.

Hope you saw the humour in the email too.

"valued customer" - Yes for sure. They've had several £k off you. But even they now recognise you need a new car.

There was an E250cdi that caught my eye, but too dear. As I will report later, the shed was on form this weekend.

I wonder what sort of company runs a fleet made up of those cars?

Or just my cynical view of dealer marketing?

CL500 for the director, E250cdi for middle management, A160 for lower tier management.

Seems ok to me.

If God exists, it will be a cancelled fleet order for someone they have hacked off with poor customer service, perhaps refusal of a rust warranty claim.

If it's a company then it must be a slightly odd one. Most companies aren't that keen on two seaters (SLKs) and also the S350 / SLK350 / CL500 are going to be killers on BIK.

It is a strange mix of company cars -as already mentioned - especially, SLK's ! Could it be a car hire company ? It does say "fleet order" cancelled !
Wonder what they are getting instead if it is a company - any jobs ?

Quite agree that it's probably sales patter about a cancelled order but as Steve said there are so cracking deals on offer, thanks for posting

That's comforting. On the face of things I managed to get a far better deal than the equivalent models listed there just walking off the street into my local M-B dealer.

I assume all M-B garages can access this stock anyway?

To me, it looks like allocated build slots allocated to the dealer group which were unsold at the time of committing build spec.

So the following line is to be disbelieved?

'Yesterday our fleet department had an order cancelled, meaning that we now have 35 extra cars that we need to sell urgently.'

Probably, but who cares.

I love this place, everything that is said/claimed by someone or an organising is scrutanised to the Nth degree. Stock/failed sales, who gives a ***t, they're priced to sell, grab 'em if your in the position to get a new car.

People buy new cars on here quite regularly, and this looks cheaper than most so thats why I posted it..

I don't disagree at all with what you say or for posting the link, very glad that you take the time.

However, it bugs me when retailers of any description try to hoodwink it's customers. It just seems so arrogant to me that they assume that their customers are that thick.

Fair play, maybe its genuine. All this is conjecture.

Some nice cars there (stock) and if anyone wants a new car for the price of a 1yr old one, best get in contact with Mercedes Benz of Hull.

I was liking the E250cdi saloon, that'd would do me nicely for the price if I had the readies.

Just to say that - without looking at the spec yet - on a general note, fleet cars tend to have lower spec and less creature comforts. Retail cars are more likely to have (real) leather, COMAND, Bi-Xenons, Pano roof, etc etc. Fleet cars will usually just have one or two eye-catcher options.
