Flip key fobs NLA from Mercedes!

I ordered a new infrared 3 button flip keyfob for my R129 from Merc brentford in July, cost £207 and was told it would be 10-14 days from Germany.

3 weeks went past, called up and was told its on back order.

Found out last week its NLA!

The chap on the parts desk suggested writing a complaint to HQ - has anyone does this or had any success with previous issues? Any letter formats or wording would be appreciated - my current email sounds too nice and no where near as angry as I would like!

What are the alternative options? Can an old fob from a breakers be reprogrammed?

Any and all help appreciated.

Why be angry? Why write to complain? Both are a complete waste of time & energy

Cars get old. Parts supply ends. Deal with it

What year is the car?
What happened to the key?
Did it stop starting the car?
Did some or all of the buttons stop working?
Did you open the remote case at any time?
Did you test the remote fob with a camera?
