Flippin Wipers!

Hi , I know that this is an issue for most c-class and other single wiper mercs. I have a 98 c-class with a wiper arm that used to park at the bottom of the drivers screen, but this arm started sticking and while I was driving has now decided to park directly in front of my vision line, making it difficult to view the road properly.

I have crudely lubed the arm and is not sticking anymore, however it refuses to park anywhere else. I have read the how to thread on greasing the arm mech, but just want to know if the park position can be adjusted at all by taaking the mech apart.

I am pretty good with spanners but just want to know if anyone has sucessfully done this or do I have to go to the stealers and get robbed for a new mech?

It sounds like something has slipped! It is possible to set the park position of the wiper to be anywhere on the sweep.
