Hello

so i have had a a tough 2 and half weeks :(

1st December, came home 5.30pm to find my grand mother collapsed on the floor.. we think happened within 15 minutes of us arriving.. from what we were told was a heart attack and a very major stroke. 6th December, 7am, she passed away peacefully. 13th December was the funeral.. :(

Sounds as if the gycerin dip method might be the best long term strategy? However Almost all flower pigments will fade as they degrade. Some folks advocate spraying them with a clear acrylic lacquer that filters out UV but I imagine that's a short to medium term solution. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004BPYVKA/?tag=amazon0e9db-21
If you decide to DIY then do experiment with some test blooms first before moving on to the wreath.
Other possibility is to leave to the professionals- Its possible funeral directors may have contacts with firms that specialist in this or local floral arrangement societies might be able to help?
Your Gran looks to have been a lovely lady may she rest in peace.

Thank you.. yes she was.. :)

ok some things to look into

I had the flowers from my sisters wedding pressed and mounted in a frame for her, they were lovely and have lasted 20 or so yrs in fantastic condition still, frame has been updated to match décor a couple of times.
It did take a few weeks or so to do.More info here 3 Ways to Press Flowers - wikiHow I think it a specialist thing.

Sounds like a lovely way of remembering your gran. Good luck. Let us see the results please.
