Does anyone use "snow foam" on their cars with a Pressure washer? If so what brand do you use ? Where do you buy it? And at what price?

Thanks:bannana:

I use a mixture of mainly Traffic Film Remover and pressure wash that off and then use a good brand of wax/wash to hand wash my vehicles with excellent results.

A 25 litre container of TFR (you dilute it) would last you for years if you washed your car say, once a week and would cost around £25.00

The TFR can be used in different strengths (more concentrated for very dirty wheels) and is what pro car washes use.

I've never used snow foam though, what does it contain?

I use whatever car shampoo I have in the garage, they all seem to work as well as each other. I've never bought anything actually labelled "snow foam".

It appears to me that the snow foam lance will work with any shampoo, in my case, a £15 Karcher attachment from Halfords. Only complaint is the bottle is a bit on the small side.

So is this a special lance? What is the advantage of "snow foam"?

The foam sticks to the sides of the car and dissolves the dirt if left for 10 minutes and is then blasted off with the pressure washer.

It means you use less of the sponge or washing mitt and are not causing swirls in the paint by rubbing grit over it. Depending on how dirty the car is, I don't need a sponge anymore.

Hmm.... cheap I grant you but what a dodgy looking site!

The home page says they are based just off the A1 at Scotch Corner but the contact us page gives an address in Barton, North Yorkshire.

The site is designed using OSCommerce and these databases can be manipulated to extract and abuse CC information. (I only know because I used to use OSCommerce and was amazed how weak it was)

It certainly doesnt inspire much confidence.

Andy,

Where did you get the lance/bottle attachment?

Cheers

cleanyourcar.com they sell all types of attachments for all models of p/washers complete with the bottle.

Ask to speak to Tim.

The quoted price is before VAT, which makes them dearer than others.

I might look out for a dosing bottle attachment but need to see how it would attach..

I just use wash/wax detergent sprayed on from the machine and left to drain at the moment.
