Came back from Leeds on M1 this morning.......behind a lorry, large stone thrown up and bang.....had to drive home wondering what damage had been done to the front end.....answer is....smashed fog light

Looking at it I'm guessing two things......its not a simple lens change.....its not a simple job:dk:

AMG bodykit so not sure if its standard foglight, anbody assist here :thumb:

Unsure, have you contacted the dealer? Get the part number and check the web, if the dealers price is unreasonable.

Additionally, have a look on EPC on the web to see if there are any different numbers.

I know some members on here have access to Merc's EPC.

Sorry I can not be of more help.

Well, what a coincidence ... I was just about to start a new thread with the exact same issue. Mine's a Sport also (with the AMG kit), and my offside fog light has a smashed lens.

Did you get anywhere? I'm hoping you don't have to replace the whole unit. Mine's in for service next week at MB, so can ask then, but was hoping a member has a more wallet-friendly answer.

I think its a new unit. On the non AMG version it can be got at by removing the wheelarch liner but not sure on the AMG version.

What side is it? I can get you the part number.

What year is your W209?

Its attached to the bumper frame, not the actual bumper.

Mine's offside (driver's). It's a 2006 (Oct). Cheers

I repalced one on my S204, same light unit as the CLK - it comes as a whole unit including bulb for around £100 plus fitting.

They are often on ebay cheaper.

Once you get some new ones, it might be worth using Lamin-X to protect them in the future.

They come as the complete unit:
