Hello all,

i'm fairly new on here and have just purchased a c43 amg. i am extremly happy with the car but it hasn't got the biggest spec and would like to fit folding mirrors, is there any way to check if the car could be pre wired for the mirror's of what would be needed to fit them ?

thanks in advance

Matt

Hi Matt. I have a set of original C43 electronic folding mirrors that i bought off a member from this forum a while back which you can have at a good price. If you give me your email we can exchange pics and details.

Hi Matt

Welcome. I am new to C43 ownership, but had a C36 a few years ago.

I'm no expert at fitting extra, but might be an idea to see if there is spare unused clips/plugs under the gear lear surround panel. I have this option in mine, never used them as keep forgetting about them. See the picture below. The button is the first button to the right of the mirror adjustment stalk.

Easy to do, if you buy the mirrors off of Adam (above) then all you need is a loom and some pins.

Ok cool, what I will do is check for the loom tonight if it's there it should be an easy job.I'll keep you posted on what my findings are. Adam if you can let me know a price my email is [email protected]

Power Folding Switch 210 820 20 10

Cutting the hole for the switch might be a bit of a pig to do, but new panels are still available from MB for about £60-70.
I do have a panel with the switch for the folding mirrors already cut out, but it also has the parktronic switch hole too, ie it is exactly the same as the one in the pic posted by 215m3 except it has,nt got the lower right switch hole.(electric rear blind).
I also have the MB workshop instructions on how to install the loom if you are interested, drop me a PM.
I very much doubt it is prewired for folding mirrors.
You could always fit w210 facelift mirrors.

Some pics of Bobbies car with them fitted.

thanks for all your replies so far, i have had the panel out and Andy27168 is right and there isn't any prewiring on the car, what would it involve to get the mirror's to fold wiring wise ?
it seems as if there is just one plug going into the boot release switch which must spur off to the electric mirrors where would the folding switch etc come into it ?
