footwell and rear seat lights

Hi

this is my first post. I have owned a w210 e class since january and recently came accross the lights in the footwells and the rear seats, however they dont have bulbs in and look like specialist bulbs.

My question is, if I put the bulbs in will the lights work? or will I have to put fuses or connect some wiring etc? Knowing that its a benz i bet the bulbs aint cheap!

they are probably standard bulbs (rear number plate light bulbs are the ones used on my W124 puddle lights) but wont be very expensive from MB either. try halfords.

if the wiring is there at the back of the bulb holders then i suspect all it needs is the bulbs.

Leds in mine 01 model, only come on with the lights on.

Thanks for the info. ive looked at the fuse box and there are 2 gaps where 20a fuses should be. I have the elegance model so think its a case of fuses and bulbs.

ps my rear seat lights are the same as the pic. Didnt realise they were LEDs, just thought it was a strange kind of bulb.

They are LEDs. Its the whole unit, and if the cables are there, then it is probably just the fuses. Not sure if this is part of the ambilight interior package, does your car inlcude spotlight under inside mirror and illuminated door handles?

hi i have the light under the nterior mirror which comes on when the car is started.

i havent got illuminated door handles, but i have put fuses into where i think they should go and still nothing

211 have low level illumination inside the interior release levers, very subtle.
