Hi I am new to this forum as I have just purchased a 2010 C180 Kompressor. I am after fitting footwell lighting as my model does not have them, I have discovered that the panels in the footwell's have holes for which I presume will house the lighting but was just wondering if anyone knows if the wiring will be in place behind the panels for me to just buy the lights and plug them into the loom, any help would be appriciated

My experience of doing retro fits on MBs is that the wiring will not be present, I did some investigation into fitting footwell lighting into my AMG and it appears that the front and rear footwell lighting is fed from the door control modules, though this would have to be confirmed for your exact model. If this is the case it should just be a matter of running a couple of cables from the DCM in the door to the new light fitting.
