I like apple devices, I don't like their cost and I honestly can't see how Apple justifies it's prices.
You get much better VFM with android.
I can have a sensible discussion with anyone about technology but as soon as an apple fan boi tells me how much better his i-whatever is then that's when I get defensive, these days I try not to get drawn into it.

At this point I like to explain that i-devices are like real devices with training wheels and one day they'll graduate to an unrestricted device

I thought that and derided Apple products as 'Fisher Price Activity Centres for Adults'......but having had iPhones & iPads now for a few years, I can say they are genuinely superb for your basic daily communications and connections when mobile - at least since 4G arrived.

The thing I find interesting about mobile devices is how emotive they have become with peoples opinions polarised in one camp or another.

Phones have now become a sort of extension of ones character as well as being a fashion statement in many ways the same as a nice watch.

Giving out company phones in a one size fits all fashion really doesn't go down well. BYOD is the best way forward - much cheaper too.
