FOR SALE:
I bought the car on 24-May-2011 with a view to keep it for a few months as a stop gap.
The car was purchased blindly from an auction (BCA) with full warranted mileage etc.
Upon purchasing it I found it to be smoking and having a few issues. It has subsequently spent some time at the mechanics and several senior engineers have worked on it and fixed all the issues.
During the diagnosis, and issues it has had the following items replaced:
1. High Pressure Diesel Pump
2. Fuel lines
3. Alternator
4. Seperator/Breather valve
5. 3 injectors
6. 6 Injector seals
7. N/S & O/S Front Ball Joint
8. N/S & O/S Drop Bar
9. EGR Valve Cleaned
10. Manifold Cleaned
11. FORTE and BG244 Deisel Cleaner treatment
Previous owner had had the Diesel Pre Pump and Turbo replaced.
It has had a FULL service as well.
Some of the above were replaced for peace of mind and comfort purposes.
With the initial purchase price and all of the above work carried out, I am certain to be making a big loss, however, the car now runs sweetly.
Even though it was purchased as a stop gap for a short period of time, I wanted to have it running properly and reliably like a MB should, such that when I sold it I would know that it is a genuine reliable car.
The car now drives perfectly, returning 50+ mpg, and getting from 0-60 in a short space of time. I would happily sell it now knowing it is a safe and genuine car.
It is due to go in for a new MOT and rust treatment next week while I am away and will be available for test/purchase from 24-Sep-2011 onwards. It currently is taxed until 01-12 and will have 1 yrs MOT.
I am based in Watford.
Pricewise, I am open to reasonable/genuine/realistic offers. - What's it worth?
