A friend bought this car as a non runner several years ago and then dry stored it with the intention of putting it back on the road; this never happened. Recently he lost his storage at short notice. He had no spare space for it so we moved it to my house.
It is showing 70,700 miles and judging by the interior that is genuine. There is almost no wear to the seat bolster and the whole interior is very good inc the seats, carpets and headlining. There are two pieces of wood trim missing from the glovebox area. The body is presentable and a lot of the panels could well be the factory paint. There is some rust around the front valance, at the bottom of the front wings, around the rear arches and at the bottom of one door. There is no rust or evidence of damp underneath the carpets. The spare wheel is unused and still has the original Michelin XZX 175/14 tyre.
It is still a non runner. The timing chain tensioner is not fitted and we think that there is a problem with the timing chain and / or bent valves. There don’t appear to be any oil leaks and the ATF fluid is a nice clear red colour.
