98 R reg E320 Avantgarde. Dark metallic blue. 3 previous owners from new. 112,000 miles, from memory MOT till September, Tax till end of May. Pretty much full service history, with Merc up to around 80,000 miles and then with our local Merc specialist. Being totally honest it's mechanically great but cosmetically below average, asking price reflects this.
Mechanicals - 3.2 V6 petrol with a 5 speed automatic gearbox, being an avantgarde it has factory lowered suspension. Has only required a MAF sensor since we've had it for the last 2 and a half years, genuine one fitted. 220bhp, loads of torque but still capable of 32mpg on a run. It does now require a service but as we've upgraded to an Audi A8 and it's not being used there's no point in us spending money on it, this is reflected in the asking price of course.
Interior - Light grey leather interior, both front seats are heated and electrically operated with 3 memory settings per seat. Cruise control and speed limiter (allows you to set a maximum speed for say in town driving stopping you exceeding the speed limit, engaging kickdown cancels this). Electrically adjusted steering wheel, also works with the seat memory settings. Electric glass sunroof, tilts only, the slide back function no longer works, motor is fine but the cable pulling the sunroof back is broken. Auto dimming rear view mirror, heated electrically adjustable side mirrors which also fold in electrically. Dual zone climate control (not basic air con), the back light in the display needs a new bulb, it works once fully charged but loses pressure in about a week or two, it's presumed that a pipe is split or a seal is perished. This model also comes with the newer style plastic style infra red keys with boot open facility from the key fob. Mercedes factory headunit with 6 disc cd changer in the boot. Dark wood trim inside the cabin.
Exterior - This is the worst aspect of the car, it has accidentally been reversed in to a post on the passenger side, the paint is broken at the top of the boot and there is a crease below the boot lid, pitures will follow of course. The boot still opens and locks fine. Theres also a scrape in the passenger side rear door, shallow dent in the lower part of the door which goes in to the wheel arch. Small bit of paint also needed on the front drivers side corner of the bumper. Photos of all these areas will of course follow.
Wheels & tyres - 16" Avantgarde wheels with matching spare, good tread on all 4 tyres.
