So that leaves one seat in the Alpha Taura (Kvyat unconfirmed), both Haas seats to fill.
Albon still to be confirmed in the Red Bull with Perez and Hulk still looking? Also a Russian F2 driver bringing loadsamoney to Haas and thereby reserving a seat?

Oh, nearly forgot Lewis eventually re-signing for Mercedes

Have I got that right?:dk:

Spot on for me

Perez is definitely looking for the Red Bull seat

Think Albon will be gone now, Verstappen is starting to air his frustrations with him as a team mate also. Looks like Hulkenberg is the preferred option for the seat but Perez surely has to be in with more than a chance.

Feel for Russel though, what a mistake to make.

Racing Point Pit member looked bad, hope the person is ok.

Understand that sacrifices are being made and a lot of effort going into ensuring we actually have a season but i just didn't find Imola an exciting race to be honest.

Quite enjoyed that race for a change. :thumb:

I often wonder if many of the teams have written it into their contract for this season that they must have one really good driver and another that is a bit of a numpty. ;)

Helmut is reported to have said to German TV that Gasly will have have a young driver next to him, signalling the end for Kvyat. With Albon under performing, is it possible he may not have a drive? Strange that Albon has just said he got his which spun him around and that the team told him that too. The replays seemed to show no contact.

Toto has also said that he is looking for his successor but he hasn't found him/her yet but does have someone in mind

An uncharacteristic mistake from George, though I don’t know how much practice he’s had at leading the pack behind the safety car.

Albon is toast, which is a shame because he is quick and I like him. Unfortunately his confidence has dropped and has affected his performance. Sergio should get the second RBR seat in 2021, but pretty sure Max won’t want to be up against him in the same car.

VB and Max were unlucky today. Lewis drove a flawless race again.

Another article I read was about RB taking over the Honda engine and IP. Ferrari and Renault voted against an engine freeze which Red Bull said is required for the to take over and ultimately remain in the sport. The interesting part was that Cyril said they had asked for an engine freeze months ago and Red Bull/Honda voted against it so 'it's a bit too late now'.

PROBLEM for any Toto successor after an unprescedented run of team MB success there is probably only one way for the team to go in the future. Sure you can equal the previous record but difficult to improve on it and thus likely to suffer by comparison?? 🤔

Coupled with the fact that why should they (as in other engine suppliers oblige)? Horner has been pretty good at shouting out "foul play" like the boy who cried wolf so many times. My understanding is the freeze wouldn't allow Ferrari to play catch up and turn the current donkey back into something that resembles a prancing horse. Something they desperately need to do. Renault too.

I don't see why any other supplier should agree to be frozen as it suits Horner. I'm pretty damn sure that Horner would say no to any other supplier, just because he could and can. Rightly or wrongly, I can hear Cyril now playing the world's smallest violin.

What's folks opinions on what will happen to Alex Albon next season?

I can't see him being at Red Bull and to be honest I'm surprised he is still there considering what they did to Gasly!

Well I know people love them but Lando and George are on the edge of getting their cards and P45,just how do you put the car into the wall following the safety car,it has to be a first,Albon has failed at Red Bull, this season has exposed some drivers because the racing at the front is all over Mercedes win and MV normally follows in third,so the spotlight is shone on the middle order and young drivers have not given anywhere near their best

Track steward, tea maker, towel changer? ;)

On a serious note. MV is either the holy grail of drivers and can really peddle a donkey of a car his team mate/mates (AA) is/are having difficulty to get to grips with on a good day or RB are throwing everything into Max and not a lot in Albon's direction. Let's face it RB are renowned for kicking drivers to the kerb as soon as they've driven over one.

I was thinking earlier how dejected he might be feeling then thought similar of VB too. Isn't there a strong connection between AA and RB is some kind of way? I'm sure I remember hearing about how the Thai's love AA and won't have a bad word said about him. As for VB he looked a beaten man some races ago. That tash looks like an 80's porn star.

I don't personally see AA at RB next year. If he does remain he will either be on par with MV or in front of him. Maybe in an equal car?

I'm sure today wasn't the 1st time a driver has put a car off the track following the SC. A couple of well known drivers have done the same thing over the years. Everyday is a School day. Pretty sure he won't be doing that again ....

Roman Grosjean did it back in 2018.
