Hi,

The car is E320CDI facelift 2007.

Have heard a lot about Forte treatments and as I have had lately turbo / M55 problems (appeared when tried using Shell V-Power - probably a coincidence) I am considering using them.

There are lots of various treatments and four main ones appear to be:
Forte Lubricants Advanced Formula Car Diesel Fuel Treatment
Forte Diesel Turbo Cleaner
Forte DPF Cleaner and Regenerator
Forte Diesel Specialist Injector Cleaner

They appear to have top reviews though lots of reviews mention putting some of these into the fuel filter to ensure pure Forte goes into engine.

What are the opinions of forum members on these? Which ones of these (or perhaps some others) should be used and how should they be applied?

Thanks a lot for opinions!

I have used Forte products for years. Engine flush, Top end treatment and Advanced diesel treatment. Currently have the Top end treatment in after hearing a lazy valve lifter, it is now silent. The Engine flush I saw demonstrated by a Forte rep and it works well. The fuel treatment I have used in both petrol and diesel engines but can only assume they work on the basis that I have had no fuel related problems.

I agree that the array of products can be confusing.

Personally, if you are not currently looking to resolve a specific issue with the Turbo, DPF, or injectors, I would go with the first product that sounds like a general fuel treatment.

Also, I would use the general fuel treatment regularly, and the other products as a one-off, as-and-when needed.

I'm "quite" sure it was a Forte product I got from one of the lads and I used it on the OM646.

Used to get black smoke coming out when joining a motorway on the slip road and you put the foot down a bit.
After some of this and after a few blasts the smoke went.

Forté is good stuff - I have used it on my OM648 after recommendation from my indie.
