Hello

I have been playing Forza a little and have to say am loving it. I enjoy the 'ring' and have been trying to beat 10 minuites...

(anyone remember Sabine in the Tranny van... 10m 15seconds !!)

Now if it is 'that' realistic to the real ring / speed and time wise I did 10m in a Lotus Elise I was happy with and though she MUST have been flying in that van !!! (so I watched the you tube video and she was...)

Anyway we are now having a mini challenge at work...

Last night I did 3 laps. My best was wth a McLAREN F1 with manual. My time 8m 59.954 and I came 3rd in the race of 8.

Well please as I thought that's not bad :) I didn't know you can choose a flying lap without racing other cars so 'could' maybe I can go quicker..in fact I'm sure I can but for now I was happy with this.

So anyone up for a go? Post your best time, say which car and if a race or flying lap. oh and if Forza 3 or 4 (or 2), controller or wheel?

in this format

Forza 3
McClaren F1
Manual
Race Lap
8m 59.954s
Wheel

There's some speculation that the 'ring in Forza isn't realistic in terms of size and that this has been done to increase the playability (personally, I find the 'ring in FM4 to be far more enjoyable than FM3).

For the record, I've run:-

FM4
Ferarri 458 (S class)
Manual
Standing Start
08:55.192
Controller

For fun, I'd suggest using a DB5 in cockpit mode. Not very fast, but you get a really nice feel of bouncing across the track on those skinny tires and floppy suspension.

Oh and my GT is "o Aperture o"
