Hello All,

I'm still in limp mode with my e270 CDI, 2004.
I've changed the maf and cleaned the egr, the eml was on prior and now has disappeared and stayed that way since it was cleared with a diagnostic tool this morning.
These faults remain, and I wondered if anyone had any advice on what to attack first. Here they are:

P2043 Camshaft Hall (B61) - Signal Error
P2044 Camshaft Postion Sensor (L5) - Signal Error
P2511 Left Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Positioner (Y27/9) XY
P2121 Left Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Positioner (Y27/9) Wiring.

Update on the yellow lamp, it came back when I started the car this evening.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Cheers,

Paul

Are these generic OBDII fault codes?

You need to get the car on STAR, of failing that, iCarsoft or Carly.

The generic OBDII fault codes provide only a partial insight into what's going on.

Hi,
Thanks for that, it was a snap-on reader, I'll need to find one of the others.
In the meantime, is there a best place to start thought, given the info available?
Cheers,
Paul

Simply change the camshaft sensor , they're only cheap. Then work out the egr issue.

Thanks, I’ll do that. Much appreciated!

Remember some errors cause false errors elsewhere in the chain. Fixing one issue can correct alot of others. Pop the egr valve off and clean it or replace it .
