On the way to work this morning, in a queue of traffic, on a quickish but windy A road got overtaken by a chavved up Ford Focus.

This was bad enough let me tell you, but the icing on the cake was that the driver had chosen to overtake on what couldn't really be described as a "straight" in the face of an oncoming car!

We all had to stop pretty smarlty to avoid the obvious collision / maiming that would have followed.

In a W126 emergency stops result in cd's/ keys, coins apples flying forward becasue Herr Benz provided no storage box in the centre console!

The Focus was being driven by a young woman with 2 kids in the car! What the hell is wrong with people. I then followed her for a further 6 miles when she continued to overtake badly, until she stopped outside a primary school, presumably to let her poor kids out!

What is wrong with people????

I think I might have stopped and given her a piece of my mind - in front of other parents with any luck !

As you say , bad enough endangering herself , worse still endangering you and other road users - but her (primary age) kids too !!! ???

I need to get back the roller-top cubby hole from the centre console of my 300TE-24 , which I gave to a mate after the car was written off , to see if it will fit in my W126 .

Something similar here .........I was travelling with a collegue of mine got overtaken by a "Young Lady" at lightening speed & she was on the phone!!!!!

we stopped at the traffic lights..........out my mate jumps.. (The young ladies Window was open) grabs the mobile, removes the battery & chucks it bout 50 yards down the road leaves the scene shouting "Mobile phones & driving don't mix"

I must admit I watched her as we drove off.......... she just sat there Mouth open doing....................... NOTHING!!!!!!!


was with the same guy ages ago .........got cut up in some roadworks on the A1 ...so Rich being Rich cut up this KNOB when he had a chance guy went NUTS screamin & waving his fists ........Rich calmly pulls over & opens his window about an inch out stomps this guy, runs over & grabs the open window


At which point Rich powers up the window (Trappin the guys fingers) & DRIVES OFF!!! (Very slowly I should add) the guy is squealin & running along side the car.......... (Goes on fer about 25 feet) .....Rich stops powers down the window & say ........"You wanted me????"

Guy just ruins back to his car & drives away!!!!!....................BET HE WON'T CUT ANYBODY ELSE UP NOW!!!!!

Which is why I didn't give her a piece of her mind! you never know who you're dealing with!

Something similar happened to my partner on Monday, when someone decided to overtake despite the bloody big Espace coming in the other direction. She slowed, but eventually had to take an evasive dive off the road. Cost me a tyre (£145!) so far, still debating on getting the 4 wheel alignment (the back wheel took the what) done.

Ive had a few of this type of incidents before, i used to enjoy giving people s**t for their bad driving but the medication seems to have stopped me now lol, Im not a small chap to say the least but used to be most comfortable sitting slouched in the driving seat, its great when someone comes running towards your car with a proper attitude on and you unfold yourself out the car to look down on them and all of a sudden the problem just disappears..... lol

Its hard as it happends more often than you like.

What I get beef about are motorbikes that overtake even on straight bits and then cut you in when they have NO reason at all to do so??

In Europe you tend to find Bikers kick their lag out as you move over to let them past...

I got cut up by a bird in one of those Peugeot 30-something convertibles with her roof down. More annoyingly, she was talking on her fone at the time - fone in left hand, held to right ear, and a fag in her right hand - hence the obvious inability to check her blind spot. On top of that, she had two kids in child seats in the back. As her roof and windows were down, I dont know how she could hear properly on the fone, let alone drive(and smoke a fag), and when I tooted her and made a fone gesture, what I got was a tirade of screamed abuse. She looked like an angry peroxided cat in over sized sunglasses. One of those situations when I wish I'd grassed her to the feds.
