Free Sky Wireless Booster for existing Sky Broadband customers

My account says I have to add a TV package, which I don't want to do.

I spoke to Sky today the website for adding the booster is screwed when you go to redeem offer it doesnt work on some accounts, some want you to add packages or services and others show totally incorrectly, they reckon they should have it fixed tomorrow :thumb:

I had trouble earlier on in the day but managed to order it without any problems this evening:thumb: Hopefully they will get all the bugs sorted out!

Thanks for that just been back on the Sky website and its all working fine now, just ordered mine :thumb:

Looks a good offer as long as it doesn't tie the recipient to another 12 month contract? Surely not.

Ordered mine too, but got an email saying I need to contact them regarding this to ensure it doesn't get cancelled.

They're not available until 0830 tomorrow, so wonder if it needs a tie in for another 12 months as stated above?

BT offering free BT Sport channels if you use their broadband must have Sky working to retain their existing customers ??

Has anyone whose order was accepted only got broadband, with nothing else - no telly or phone?

I've placed my order (I have TV/phone/internet) and having read the general and offer T&C's, I couldn't see anything to suggest a new contract is activated by accepting the booster.

Thanks for the heads up. Couldn't order the booster until I ordered the new hub and used it for 7 (or was 14) days to see if there is any dead spots with the new hub.

New hub ordered...

Had read elsewhere that a new hub will tie you in for another twelve months but you should be safe with just the booster.

On the other hand Sky's broadband hardware has always been rubbish so can't imagine these are any better.

I bought a Sky Hub earlier on this year as my old router died after 6 years, the Wifi range didn't improve so hopefully this may help!

Do you have sky broadband only?

My father had sky + broadband + phone

He decided to change his broadband to BT (because he was paying quite a bit for the broadband as he is not in an area where he can get the free broadband) and without telling him, sky cut off his phone. He contacted them after the phone went dead & they told him he couldn't have phone without broadband.

Received my free booster today, really easy to set-up using the WPS button on the front of the sky hub, I now get full bars of reception in and around the rooms upstairs - result :)

Strange - we have SKY broadband only, with BT as the phone provider - it's been this way for years.

They are sending me a free latest hub as we only had an older router. After the hub arrives they will send the booster, if required.

I have the same deal. Sending a free hub, but no mention of the booster which was what I asked for:doh::D

Thanks for the heads up, I wanted to get one for downstairs so I can use my iPhone in the driveway to listen to Absolute80's when detailing although, they are sending me a new hub first.

Result and I can claim a free booster after if required, excellent! Just wish my area was fibre enabled for HD movie downloads/YouTube...
