Hi Everyone

Been lurking a little while, but finally saying hello!

I have a 2008 S204 220CDi, and it's been sat on my driveway since the snow came.
I have been offered for free by a work colleague in Germany the following wheel/tyre combo:

2104010602 - 7.5Jx16 ET41 with 215/55 R16 winter tyres.

On my car I currently have the 18" wheel option which are:
18x850225/40R1818x8.554255/35R18AMG

Question is, will I be able to do a direct swap, or will I be needing spacers and/or different bolts?

I called my local dealer before I was offered the above and they said that the steel wheel option for the 204 is 6Jx16 with an ET of 39. This would be a straight swap they said.

Any advice on this would be appreciated. The chance of getting these for free is great, but I don't want to pay the shipping charges if they aren't going to fit.

Thanks in Advance. :)

It depends on what type of brakes you have. My W203 C320 has the larger sport brakes, as such the smallest wheel size I can use is 17"

I suspect if your W204 is a Sport model you may have the same issue.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I don't think the 220 sport comes with big brakes. I read a thread on another forum (shhh!), of a guy in Sweden with a 220 sport who upgraded his brakes to bigger ones from a 6-cyl.

S204 should have 53ET with 16 x 7.5J so your friends ET41 will sit further out and may foul something.
