From Blue To Matt Black!!

Hello all,

After smashing up my VX220 in December I wanted something more sensible. I picked up a CLK 230 (W208) a few weeks ago, I have always liked the look of matt black cars so took the plunge and booked it in. Here are some pictures of the change.

Is it a vinyl wrap rather than a re-spray? Personally I quite like it, a brave choice.

Thanks for the reply, I did just take a risk but it turned out well I really like it.
The bumpers have been painted and the rest is vinyl.

I didnt plan for that merc star, The vinyl would not fit the bonnet in one sheet so needed to cover the join.
It wont be to everyones taste but I quite like it.

How does the wrap compare to respray in terms of longevity, stone/abrasion resistance, price?

Stick some 18" Black AMG wheels on it and it will look great... apart from the bonnet design (IMO of course)

Agree with others maybe not my choice but I do quite like it. It needs bigger wheels though

i've had plenty of matt black cars, painted though not wrapped, i like yours, needs lowering and meaner wheels on it though, something with some dish and maybe an inch smaller diameter.

Its realy Mad Max ,"can u see me toecutter , I am the night rider ". Looks class , a set of 18" in black will finish it off .

A very brave choice but I really like it. Not sure about the bonnet stripes though. Carlson and MKB both have produced matt black cars and they look great.
As others have said just need some nice upgraded alloys and you will have agreat ride there.
