No Military vehicle is insured as IIRC it is covered by the crown.

How is the vehicle used?

- For business.

SDL and Commuting?

- Er yes... generally commuting to the front line.

Where is kept at night?

- On the battlefield.

Number of named drivers?

- Anyone who's not wounded

Any endorsments in the last 5 years?

- Thousands.

Any modifications?

- Guns, armour, tele communications.

Any accidents?

- Too many to put a figure against.

Any alarms / theft devices?

- MiniMe GPMG

^^ we can insure for all of that but if you change to winter Tyres, you won't be covered....

I always had arguments with insurers whilst in the Army when I was trying get quotes for my own car.

Where is the car kept Sir?

In a heavily guarded barracks?

So in the open then Sir like a Street?

No it's in a heavily guarded barracks, i.e. armed guards on patrol, on the gate, bl**dy large guard dogs sniffing and snarling straining on a leash ready to rip any would be thieves arm off type place. More secure than the average garage.

We'll have to put it down as being in the street Sir and as you're a Squaddie we'll add the compulsory rip off all squaddies for the sake of it premium on. HMMM 26yr old, full no claims, 1.3 Corolla. Think of a number quadrouple it, add a few zeros. £1500 sir how does that sound?

Was pretty typical.:wallbash::wallbash:

Interesting - the thread started with a vague "arrogant rich, one law for them" slant, but read the actual events, and you can see that:
1) the victim got paid out
2) in full
3) no wrangling
4) very quickly

Compare that to any time you had to claim from an insurance company!

So if you're going to be hit by a numbnut, it's best if it's a mega-rich, surety-carrying, flunky-accompanied numbnut.
