Just been to the dealer to have a winter check and was handed a bill of £1,000+

Could someone advise whether I need to do all of these before the MOT please? I have googled a bit and it seems that it could fail the MOT....

Slight play front wheel bearings - This needs adjusting I guess at some point...

Front castor arm bushes split , align - So they are not even going to replace the bushes and charge nearly £900 for aligning work? This seems too much for me... Do they need to be replaced?

Front drop link gaitor bushes split - I guess these need replacing as well?

I probably will take the car to Kwik-fit to ask for a quote as well... just wanted to make sure these can wait for a few months until MOT in August (I hope).

Thank you very much.

Try an Indi rather than KFit !

Omg don’t go near Thick-Fit, they are notoriously awful.

Go to a good MB indie near you, hopefully someone can recommend someone.
If you lived/worked near Harrow I’d say Terry @ Wayne Gates.

The price for the control arms and align is waaaaaay off trust me.
Thank you, that's what I thought... Just took the car to another dealer nearby, they did not even think those two jobs are necessary.... Adjusted the wheel bearing for me for £35

What concerns me is that MOT could potentially fail in August but it is another 6 months away so I think I can worry about it later.
