Oops, on second thoughts I agree with Dave, I just went outside and checked mine it has 5 horizontals between the top and bottom frame. The bottom is flat not curved, hope you have not started with the Dremel.

I checked my box too, it is the same sticker and part number but like you say it must have been boxed/labelled wrong. <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'>

That is DEFINATELY NOT a 210 grille, looks to be a 203 C-class (saloon) grille, not a 208 CLK one.

I will try and take some pics tomorrow, I would say the one you have is definetly wrong.

There is a ECP at Leicester, probably closer for you, that's where I got mine from. I am sure they would exchange it their rather than going back to Birmingham.

a freind ordered the MB Grill insert (no surround) 210 part number, he only paid about 40 pounds after discount(his friend works at MB)

this makes me wonder if ECP is really a good deal?

oh and i'll ask him about his old alloys for you they are the same as PS'ed in your sig.

Thanks for the enquiries guys. I went to ECP in Leicester on Saturday where we opened two more identical boxes containing the wrong grill. Anyway, the correct one should arrive from Brum on Wednesday. I’ll let you know.

Job done and looking good. And rather a nerve wracking experience it was when it came to sawing. Here’s a dodgy photo of it taken in the dark, and what I had to cut off, plus tools used.

Just realised what that grille was!!!

Facelift 210.

The facelift 210's had a different bonnet, bumper, grille and everything, overall making a smoother looking front.

Thats exactly what that grille was from, not a 208/203 or anything.
