This is what lock down boredom produces. I have sprayed the four grille bars on my W205 to match the car colour.
I know it’s not to every bodies taste, but it looks different to all the other W205s out here.
Im no paint sprayer, in fact I hate doing any paint work on a car, it never looks right and this is no different.
There are bits that need touching in, but it’s not bad really.
Just needs to harden for a few weeks then I can cut it back a bit.
Paint was all Halfords rattle cans which preformed well. The Hyacinth Red is slightly darker, but should lighten up in time.

Looks great, a job well done. :) 👍

Looks good👍You're a braver man than me painting the grille in situ, but then I've painted bike engines in the frame in the past ;) Properly masked, as I see you did there, a decent job is achievable 👍

I think that looks good in terms of colour match, complementing the body colour. A nice change in my opinion.

Thank you all. I did in situ as I didn’t fancy taking the front of the car apart. I couldn’t get the chrome strips off so had to mask them all up. It’s by no means a professional job but it looks pretty good.
