front seat annoyance

hi all, i am having problems with "lifting" my front passenger seat foward. the back of the chair folds foward as it should, but then the second movement does not work, where by the whole chair should lift up. this "occasionally" works, am i doing something wrong ? i wouldnt have thought that this was something that could go wrong ???

More than likely it's the switch. Can you hear a 'click' when you operate it or not?

Sorry, thought you had electric seats! Sounds like a jammed or jamming mechanism somewhere....
