Are there blank badges available to replace the Avantgarde ones on the lower front wings?

Don't think so, looks as if they are recessed? EPC shows a recess with two clip holes...

Ah! Seems one can get "Avantgarde", "Classic", "Elegance" and "Sport Edition" but no blank.

Any ideas on how to "de-badge" this fitting?

Start with dental floss and 'saw' through the glue.

Then spend about 30mins removing the glue with white spirits. Easy to do.

I too have just had a look, the modern way of fitting these is there are normally nylon inserts in the hole and the pegs on the badge are just a tight fit.

Badges that just have the spire clips on the rear caused so many rust problems due the the differences on the voltage table.

I would be very surprised if there were any retaining clips on the rear

I did that on the tailgate badges... pulled them off with my fingernails and cleaned the area with a little Mer polish. No evidence of them ever having been there! :D

These wing badges are different though, they definately look recessed into the body moulding. Even if there were no pins/clips (as shown in EPC) removing it would leave an obvious "pocket" :(

Is this on the W203?

If so they should be removable just using Dental floss, I don't recall them being recessed, perhaps it's a facelift thing?

I removed the Elegance badges on our W203 C Class, took less than 10 mins!

My bonnet badge is fitted the same way as I described, just a tight push fit

Yes, W203 facelift. The badge sits in the raised side molding

This is the attachment point

Your badge is still held with these things, and that 120 bit could just go back in the same hole, and most come pre painted

OK I got it wrong, now after looking at a side photo and the first picture put up, had the badge been held there it would have had the nylon spacers to hold it on fill the 2 holes. they will still be there holding on part 120, that means that the badge itself is just stuck onto 120

Ah well off to bed.

G'nite Malcolm :D Come back strong and raring to go tomorrow, there will be many waiting for your input :D

Hopefully that black bit will be just stuck on as suggested :D

P.S. How did you capture that picture?
