front wiper sticking not working properly

Incase (as I found) that link doesn't go anywhere for you:

Switch the wiper on and stop the ignition with the wiper at 12 o'clock. Take out the key and you should be able to move the wiper through it's arc to get best access.

Lift off the upper plastic cover that covers the sliding section of the wiper arm (see picture 1). You can remove this cover.

Open the bonnet, hook your fingers under the lower edge of the lower plastic cover and attempt to flip it up and off. It's a bit fiddly but won't break and takes some effort. This cover will remain loose as you have to detach the wiper arm at the slide to remove it completely - unneccesary (see picture 2).

Give all the moving parts a healthy coating of grease, replace the covers and job done. Should take about 5 mins.

ummm!also on subject of front wipers, if there are 3 operational settings IE: slow, medium and fast if the first two are ok but the "fast" setting operates at the same speed as "medium" setting could this be a problem with the wiper relay? :) SORRY TO HIGHJACK :)

I have a similar related problem with my 1996 c180. The wiper blade unit doesn't return back as the wiper sweeps the screen. I've done all the lubricating the piston thing. Is the return operated by a spring or what? At the moment the wiper blade is digging into the rubber at the edge of the screen and the blade bending out of shape.
