Front Wipers not working E220 W211 2007

E220 W211 2007
It was raining heavily yesterday when wipers stopped working about 1/4 mile from my home.
After a bit of research I figured it could be the wiper motor fuse F56 (40amp)
So changed that.
Still not working. In fact I can hear the motor whirring away in the background.

What other fuses may have gone that are connected with the Wiper Blades.

Only clue I can think of is that a bit of snow got inside the windows when I opened window.
Thanks
Adrian

If you can hear the motor working but the wiper arms aren't moving, I'd hazard a guess the securing nut has come loose on the drive spindle..

When I moved the wipers to the bottom of the window so I could see (fortunately sunny today) they moved about 2 inches when I switched them on - then stopped again. Would this support that theory? Also is that easy to fix. Would the dealer have to fix that?

I'll have a look tomorrow and see if there are any loose securing nuts. Had another search on the forum and seen a diagram of the wiper blade and motor assembly. Thanks for the advice :)

Out of interest where on this diagram do you suspect the issue is (which nut):-
