Fuel cap E class w212

Hi can anyone please advise. Just lost my fuel cap on my w212. reg: 2010 Cdi blue. discovered at my local fuel station, they lent me a left / lost BMW cap No PA -66 GF 30 which seems to seal. Do I need to refit an MB original for technical reasons, perhaps fuel tank pressure
