Fuel computer gone crazy

Tried to post this in technical - electronics but it would t let my do it on my iphone.

My fuel computer says i have done an average of 35mpg and used 1/4 of an 80 ltr tank. This actually works out at 45mpg. It also says the remaining 3/4 of a tank will only take my 220 miles!

Ihas anyone come across this before? I can reset the average but it will still use the same formula. Is there a way to get it re calibrated? It seems to think my fuel flow is higher than it actually is.

Yeah the first 1/4 of my tank according the to gauge seems to be smaller and go faster than the remaining 1/4 segments...

Lol it seems such a simple task. It Worked on my passat and my crv. I dont understand why mb struggle with it

Yeah, I know, it's not like it's a small difference either... I noticed it from day 1 and the car was bought new

i think you should be pleased with 45mpg from 3ltr v6 lol

I get 31 ish.. maybe 35 on a long m/way run if I don't boot it

Happy with 45mpg. Just want to get the comp to display an accurate reading
