Hi Guys

I intend on replacing the fuel filter on my 2012 C250 cdi om651 engine. I am going to use the Mann filter WK820/17.
I'm hoping somebody can confirm this is the right filter? And also where can I get the hose clips from? Can I replace the ones fitted with jubilee clips or should I use the proper hose clips.

I cant seem to find anywhere to get them other than direct from Mercedes. But I probably havent searched for the right type if anybody can advise.
Thanks

Where would that be? I only see the canister filter with fuel in fuel out and heater/ sensor connection on it held in with spring clips. Cheers

Change the housing as it's a common coolant leak area , they changed the design from two bolt flange to three .

ah nice one cheers. I'll check to see if its been changed or if there is any signs of coolant leaks.
Something to add to the list. :-)

i did mine at the weekend very easy job they are clic-r clips need special pliers to remove the clips, dnt use jubilee clips as they will cut into the pipes

I have the proper pliers for these clips. They will both unlock and lock the clips without damage allowing the clips to be reused. Available on Amazon for under a tenner.

cheers guys, have purchased the pliers from amazon and the filter, just waiting for it to arrive now. Hopefully before the weekend!

When I change the filter which I plan to do this weekend. Do I need to prime it or will the on board pump fill up the filter with the ignition on for say 30 seconds? What do you guys recommend?

C250 cdi 2012 model.

I always fill the new filter with fresh fuel using a syringe, force of habit maybe but works for me.

Ah dag nam it I was hoping it might self prime, it does on you tube but I dont believe everything I see on there LOL

It does self prime. Turn ign on wait 20 secs. Turn off. Turn on . Wait. 20 secs. Start.

just turn ignition on for 20 secs do this twice the pump will fill the filter

I bought new ones off eBay, but I didn't see any issues with the old clips. But for the price, they are so cheap I thought I would just renew them.
