Hi guys,

I have a Mercedes B Class W245 CVT Petrol 2010 plate.

I’ve been getting bad fuel economy, I’ve tried a number of things to improve it, I’m getting around 19MPG city driving.

I have had my mechanic to change the fuel injectors. I purchased 4 New Bosch injectors. I was hoping that this will solve my MPG problem, however, it hasn’t. Do I need to get the ECU reset for the new injectors? If so how can I do this?

On another note the car also has a slight air suction from the engine bay when I tap the accelerator, it sounds like it’s coming from the air filter box which is joint to the throttle body. All pipes and hoses have been check and there are no vacuum leaks(according to mechanic).

Thank you in advance for looking at my post.

On my 2011 plate E class E250, my new injector needed coding.
Did yours not?

Thank you for the reply.

The mechanic didn’t say they did, however this was a local garage and I don’t think the would have the necessary equipment.

How did you get yours coded?

The manufacturer Part Number for the Bosch Injectors I put is 0280158336. If that’s any use to anyone, the injectors are for a Petrol B160 which is 2011 plate.
