Fuel Pressure Low - Bank 1

Hi there, was wondering if anyone could advise me on this. I have a C180 Merc and i've had trouble starting it recently. I've had it plugged in and the message is Fuel Pressure low - Bank 1.

Would really appreciate any help/thoughts/comments.

Have you checked the fuel pressure?

That needs a pressure test,possible causes are fuel pump,blocked fuel filter,rail pressure sensor or injector leakage although the latter would cause poor running.

I haven't checked the pressure yet. Will do so. How much are we looking roughly to repair do you think?

you need to ascertain what part is at fault before anyone can guess repair costs.

Thanks a lot for your help. I have someone coming to look at it tomorrow as i'm at my wits end! What is a reasonable charge for a pressure test?

That will depend on labour rates in your area and whether you are charged a call out fee.

Hard to understand - this car has no fuel pressure sensing.

I suspect your code definition is wrong, what was the actual FAULT CODE?
