A group called Transaction 2007 had plans this weekend to release a statement announcing some kind of protest action relating to the price of fuel in the UK. A statement has been published on their web site in which they have confirmed that they are going to organise legal protest action, and that it could begin as early as this Wednesday.

You will find more about this on the PetrolPrices.com blog:

Good - something needs to be done re: the 65p+ a litre tax our goverment charges us.

What gets me is the VAT.....a tax upon a tax....so when they add 1p duty you have to add 17.5% to this so infact it isn't 1p its 1.175p..... stealth tax or what !!!!!

dont forget you still have to add VAT to the original cost of the fuel itself
1.175p + x + .175x where x is the cost of fuel

like minds................:)

I heard about a possible protest last week, i guess its time to fill up by Wednesday just to be safe.

The new S-Class is the omly Vehicle that comes with it so far I think, it may have also been added to the CLS, E and C class list recently, and the SL Class.
