Update on the trial of the two JSO clowns who threw soup over Van Gogh's Sunflowers in 2022:
They have been found guilty (hard to see how they could have been found otherwise bearing in mind they ensured their act was filmed) and the case adjourned for sentencing.
The presiding judge, HHJ Christopher Hehir, has advised them to "prepare for imprisonment" so expect more wailing from the assorted rag-tag band of eco-luvvies + the owl sniffer and a certain major beneficiary of HMG's "green" subsidy money.
Genius! Some may have been unfortunate enough to watch the statement given by the mother of Cressida Gethin, one of the four imprisoned, whining that the sentence means dear Cressida won't be able to attend her brother's wedding next year
The level of tone-deaf elite entitlement displayed is breathtaking.
Actually, I do have an idea: We should allow Cressida a day's release from prison so that she can attend her brother's wedding and then stage a protest blocking her route to it.
8 of them were nicked at Gatwick yesterday as well. Disrupt people going on holiday; that'll really win friends and influence people.I see that the JSO loons are spraying orange paint around Heathrow Airport this morning, including plastering the departure information boards to obscure them.
What's really interesting is that one of those engaged in this act is none other than Phoebe Plummer, one of the two found guilty of criminal damage just days ago for throwing liquid over a van Gogh painting and currently awaiting sentencing for that matter.
It is abundantly clear that these people don't accept that the law applies to them and that they will do what they darn well please unless they are incarcerated to prevent them from doing so. Which raises the serious question of why repeat eco vandals are not kept on remand?
They will know what the outcome is too! They don't learn - some of them have just had another go.

Hopefully the prison terms will escalate until they start to take notice ; the quaint old punishment of them being put in the stocks outside the courthouse so that members of the public could throw soup over them ( hopefully boling , could be brought along in a Thermos Flask for the purpose ) rotten eggs , or old rotten vegetables over them would strike me as particularly apt for this lot .They will know what the outcome is too!
Jeez, what do have in mind for those that set light to inhabited hotels, police vans, and grievously assault police officers?Hopefully the prison terms will escalate until they start to take notice ; the quaint old punishment of them being put in the stocks outside the courthouse so that members of the public could throw soup over them ( hopefully boling , could be brought along in a Thermos Flask for the purpose ) rotten eggs , or old rotten vegetables over them would strike me as particularly apt for this lot .
Indeed , they could be superglued to the stocks and left there until the natural replacement of skin cells allows them to go free , just as it would be if they were left glued to the roads without intervention . I do think theat when these people glue themselves to the roads , they should just be left there , deprived of their little backpacks or any help from their friends , and allowed to ponder on the wisdom of their actions .
I seem to recall that when a bunch of them invaded a Porsche showroom some time back , that was exactly the tactic used : the management just closed the showroom , put the lights out , and left them there - they were quite unhappy that there was no one able to see their protests .
Germany.I don't remember if it was in France or Germany, but a group glued themselves to a road. The Old Bill of whatever country it was summoned a road gang who proceded to dig up the tarmac so the protesters could be taken off to the clink, still glued to the road surface
And they complained tht they couldnt go to the loo as they were glued to the floor and expected the porsche showroom staff to attend to their needs......I seem to recall that when a bunch of them invaded a Porsche showroom some time back , that was exactly the tactic used : the management just closed the showroom , put the lights out , and left them there - they were quite unhappy that there was no one able to see their protests .
