Fuel tank

We just had a new fuel tank fitted in our 21 yr old E280 estate. Now I have a constant whirr from the fuel pump and fuel starvation particularly on corners and once a complete stall. What should I do now and should we have replaced the fuel pump. Will it clear through?? Help

sounds like an air leak in the fuel pipe from the tank to the pump- check all joints/clamps and for cracked pipes where they were disturbed.

I wonder if the baffles are intact on the new tank. If the tank's only partially full it might explain why it cuts out round corners.

Thank you for the replies, we will check the joints and then I will take it out for an hour to hopefully clear the system.
