Hi, Thanks all for looking at my thread, so questions for anyone familiar with the M271 engine.. It turns out I am getting no data feedback from the pre cat sensor, its a new bosh exact match fitted, Ive also cleaned as much as possible with contact cleaner the ecu, all connectors and hopefully into the loom also as advised replaced the oil seals in the egr cam magnets, but it is still coming up with code P0030 which is fault in the circuit with bank 1 sensor 1 ... wat would be my next step to solve this ? attached picture is my reading of my O2 sensors ... pre cat no data ... post cat working good.. where do I go from here...

The diagnostic fault codes posted on the first couple of pages refer to the readout from MB Star diagnostics.
You have a generic code reader and need to Google the fault codes for that specific reader.

Hi
I have and sbs and an esp fault telling me to visit workshop. The car remains faulty- is that because the faults haven’t been cleared? And I have to clear them because the errors are related to safety
Any advice is appreciated
 
Wow O2 sensor cost
I need a down stream o2 sensor. Mercedes’ main dealer quote ££266.40.
Euro parts quote £56 for a Bosch sensor

Does anyone know if the OEM sensor is made by Bosch. The parts why at Main dealer couldn’t or wouldn’t tell me
 
icarsoft Problem.
I have an R171 SLK350 and a C180K estate. icarsoft (i980) gives me the full range of scanning options for the SLK including the engine. The C180 covers everything but the engine, nothing appears on the list for this. I have tried upgrading it but when I input the serial number it says invalid number.
Any ideas? Thanks. Dave
