It seems more and more insurance companies are not allowing drivers with Fully Comp insurance the automatic right to drive other vehicles 3rd party on the policy - this is even happening with some companies when the annual renewal comes round

In the past I'm fairly sure this was taken as a gimme - but most insurers now are not including it as standard and the customer must specify it when taking out/renewing the policy.
Lots of motorists are innocently falling foul of this when their policies are scrutinised following motoring incidents etc.
