Fully Comp/3rd party use of other vehicles - warning

It seems more and more insurance companies are not allowing drivers with Fully Comp insurance the automatic right to drive other vehicles 3rd party on the policy - this is even happening with some companies when the annual renewal comes round :crazy: .
In the past I'm fairly sure this was taken as a gimme - but most insurers now are not including it as standard and the customer must specify it when taking out/renewing the policy.

Lots of motorists are innocently falling foul of this when their policies are scrutinised following motoring incidents etc.

Yup, increasingly it is being automatically excluded as default from a policy, and increasingly being excluded as a possible addition to a policy.

It's actually known as a "driving other cars extension" on a motor policy.
