Albeit the fact that it starts playing relaxing music as your CPU burns, who-else finds this quite funny?

Probably not a joke - we were fitting CPU cooler fans which played this about 10 years ago (dont ask me how they did it - they just did and yes, it was just the fan assembly)
They weren't particularly reliable, and we always knew to take a replacement fan when the customer rang to say the server was playing music.

When we got bored, which was most of the time, we would ask them to hum the tune as "this will help us diagnose the faulty part"

I can picture it in my head... "ah yes sir, that tune IS familiar - it means your CPU is fried. Now, should you have hummed some bach, it would be a different matter"
