Hi, i have a 2012 G wagon that has had the front fog lights removed for fitting an AMG bumper.

I am now getting a warning on the dash to say fog lamp bulbs.

I have read that best way around this is to fit resistors to cancel the warning. Anyone know what size of resistors are required? the bulbs are H11

Around 2 ohm each should do. They will need to be 100 watt to be reliable.
You will need to mount them to a metal panel and they will run HOT.
Alternatively connect the bulbs back in circuit, and mount them safely away from anything they may touch.

Best is to see if they can be deleted via Star.

These...

Or wire a pair of these in parallel on each side. This will spread any heat better.
2 Pcs Gold Tone Axial Lead Aluminum Housed Resistor 50 Watt 4 Ohm 5%

You should also use some heatsink compound to help with heat transference.

Did I say they would get HOT? :)

These will only get hot if the front foglights are switched to come on - e.g. when rear foglight needs to be turned on, fronts are accidentally turned on, corner illumination is activated etc. Otherwise they will run perfectly cool.

Or fit bulbs behind the bumper where they can't be seen?
