Saw this online and looks interesting. The speedo and steering wheel don't seem to 'match' the dash if that makes sense - looks like they are from a newer gen interior? Perhaps i'm totally wrong. Maybe @jaymanek is in the know?!

Anyways - I haven't posted here for a while and thought this looked worthy of a post. Hope everyone is staying safe!

The steering wheel and instruments are the same as a facelift w210, but sorry do not have a clue if this is OE although i would imagine the instrument cluster is due to electronics.

Anyway save yourself £25000 and buy an early ML 500, which in my humble opinion are fine looking cars.

Speedo and Steering wheel are correct for its age.

Thats actually not a bad price (in terms of G's) - I look at them on AT all the time, the MPG on that will be eye wateringly bad.

Its had the blinking mirrors fitted, and also the original wings must have been replaced/modded as the original side repeaters are now missing.

Also it has the DRLs mod & grill, rear LED brakelights fitted.

Thanks @KillerHERTZ. Yes I noticed some mods have been made to this one. i have a 1993 SWB G300 that gives me 13mpg at the best of times so am accustomed to the horrid fuel economy! Unfortunately I may need to part with my current G as I live in London and must consider the upcoming ULEZ charges.

You learn something every day - didn’t realise they came as a 9-seater, although I’m not sure I’d want to use those side facing seats often..!

G-Wagons look nice, but for similar money there’s some pretty decent ULEZ exempt stuff that I would choose over that. Is it really congestion charge exempt?

Not been legal for a couple of years now, side seating.

The W163 certainly looks much better, but even that is no great looker. The problem is, I just don't 'get' G-Wagens for use as on-road transport; what on earth is the point?

Definitely NOT CCharge exempt @Will . And yes I agree there are many decent options around that are ULEZ exempt and far cheaper than a G. I was looking at L322 Range's that are remarkably in the £5k region for an early petrol!

These cars just get under your skin @E55BOF ! At least that's my personal experience to-date.

On cheap L322s just check the MOT history. Any mention if rust and don't go anywhere near it. My LR specialist always tries to dissuade me when I mention getting one as they are a lot of car for the money. The problem is that most are pretty ropey even if they look shiny. Tread very carefully. There must be some good ones out there but I imagine they will seem expensive in the market.

I love G's and I long to own one but I don't like the grille or the DRLs on this example. They just look wrong to me.

The seats look well worn for 90K miles...all of them, could have been some rich blokes 'gun bus' on a shooting estate.

And , again the pedantic Pete side of me comes out on this one. If you are trying to sell a 20 year old car for almost £29K at least put the steering wheel straight for the photo shoot , and re read your advert and take out the reference to '3 doors':wallbash: .

Sorry, as you were chaps.

Called the dealer for a chat. It's already sold!

G wagon prices do not make any sense, but each to there own. I understand they are pretty amazing off road.

Looks lovely. Identical spec to mine. If you want a g of that era, the 99/00 model year is the one to go for before they used the w203 interior and electronic transfer case...

Looks a nice car and hard to find those rear bench seats... took me ages to find a set!

@jaymanek thanks I agree this was a really nice looking car on the advert. Unfortunately it's already sold! Price seemed decent.

Get a Rangie mate - you know you want to! 😂
