Gear box oil changr

Hello lads!
I have an MB W212 2014 E220 AMG sport with 25.700 miles and my mechanic told me this kind of mb need to change the gear box oil every 4 years or every 40.000miles and i don t know what to do...
Can you help me with an advise?

The time and mileage you have been told is roughly correct.

However, with such a low mileage you could be tempted to leave it another 12 months which should, theoretically, do no harm.

Personally I'd change the oil and filter anyway as preventative maintenance.
