Looked at service history of car is now 87,000 was serviced by MB up to about 50,000 they did at approx. 40,000 a full service with the extra G/box oil change. It then went independent and don't look like MB specialist , main stuff looks like done but finer details show lack of attention to detail, car is fine all good so far mechanically no codes ect. niggles and silly thing like missing screws , pollen filter ect suggest they may have been more used to a pinto engine car or truck.

Why im ok with basics like oil, breaks ect, looking at post this seam a bit of a faf, parts for me to do it look to be approx. £150, and to be honest not very trusting of local indies, LOL I have MB main dealer at end of road

To Far to go to BlackC55, from posts would be my choice.

How important is this service after the first one, I only do about 3000 a year and usually just scrap car when bill get above £400, but this one I like , its like a tardis inside and interior is like new, apart from child seat dent in rear on one side.

and at this millage age ect is it better to just run till it dies?

87k is no mileage at all. I would get the gearbox oil done when feasible and enjoy the car for a lot longer.

Thanks not sure is my first diesel car, been reading on glow plugs and injectors, looking at my engine both a feker and could be issue soon, electrics worry me as dose the amount of places they let water in, I think I have caught my car just in time and got niggles more than major issues.

Bit that worries me even tho has fully stamped service book, after MB at 50,000 was owned by a transport company and serviced by them, probably wife's car and logged for tax with company, zero wear on inside so main bits all look to have been sorted, its the bits that only an MB specialist would take care of that were missed, like blocked drain in pollen filter, pollen filter was still MB part, no air filter change for 25,000 miles, yet fuel filter changed every year

But really is a good car till you hit a pot hole and it bottoms out

How does Oracle VM work?

very simple you down load and install, you then either import the VM file or if you have in the main folder a small file VM visuliation click that and it takes care of import

VM just puts a virtual operating system on your PC, it is a tool that allows you to open and run VM files
