Gearbox adapter plug

Hi all,
i have the common oil wicking problem, so have ordered a new gearbox adapter plug.Question is do i need to disconnect the car battery before fitting the part, or removing the 'box ecu plugs to clean ?. cheers, John.

No you dont need to disconnect anything. Just twist the connector and pull out the plug. Then there is a small screw bolt holding the part you need to replace, so undo that using an extension o get to it, clean the plug, fit the replacement part, fit the plug back and all done.
